SKY TG24, the news channel of Sky Italy, has had a permanent office embedded in the Nato base of Herat since December 2010. Jordie Montevecchi has been working as camera operator, editor and transmission technician in support to a journalist in the months of June and July 2011. He worked for Raw-News, an anglo-italian agency that provides operators to the news industry in rough environments. The assignment was to create short news pieces and live sessions for the Foreign Desk to be transmitted daily via satellite.The pieces have been scripted and directed by Francesca Cersosimo and Tonia Cartolano.
