Today in Italy in the Saturday supplement of Repubblica you can find the photo-essay from Cape Verde.

Photos by Francesca Tosarelli and article by Alessia Gallione.

The work has been created in coproduction with the Sandgrains documentary and the article explores the conjunctions of sand gathering and the construction industry.

Hello everybody! I'm glad to share with you my latest photo-stories from Cape Verde.

Both of the stories are the local perspective of a complex and global topic: the European and the Asian market are exploiting and heavily fishing in African seas.

Those stories would not have been realized without the help of many of you, throught crowdfunding and crowdsourcing in the last months on our platform.

The photo-essays were realized in co-production with the documentary 'Sandgrains', now in post-production.

This is a photo essay by our photographer Francesca Tosarelli. She has been working and shooting in Lampedusa, across Italy and France for one month.
This is the story of Karem and Riadh, two Tunisian cousins from Djebeniana.
Two young guys with the dream to live in Europe.

Francesca met them in Lampedusa island when she was following some migrants stories. She stayed with them until their departure to Livorno, and then she met them again in several cities in Italy, and has been travelling with them until Nice...
